If your looking for a solution to your green waste problems, we can help you.
Having your garden prunings and other wastes mulched up at your house is not only the green choice
but is actually cheaper than taking the material to the tip.
We achieve this by using a very large flail type mulcher that can process almost all garden wastes in a fraction
of the time that it would take to transport them to the tip. At the same time it uses a fraction of the fuel needed
for a round trip to the tip, saving even more money.
The savings continue to grow with a diminishing need for mulch, fertilizers and other garden inputs (including water).
As a guide to how much it will cost to have your green waste mulched, these are average prices
Around $35 per cubic metre ( a slightly heaped 6’x4’ trailer load)
From $20 for a trash pack sized load.
Prices have to take into account how close the mulcher can be positioned to the material and if there is any
preparation of the material. ie larger branches trimmed to fit in the hopper.

Once we arrange a day for us to have a look at your mulching needs, we can give an exact price when we see the
pile and let you know either in person if your home, or over the phone. If your happy with the price (Most people
are surprised at how affordable the quote is) we can process the materials and leave an invoice with account
details and the agreed total to be paid by direct deposit. It’s really a lot simpler than trying to arrange transport of
the material to the tip and more efficient than other green waste options.
Hourly rates available for larger quantity’s ( more than 6 cubic metres ) and rural properties. 4- 6 cubic metres can
be processed per hour on average or even more if your prepared to help.
Rural property customers are finding the value in not having to shift large quantity’s of branches into the middle of
a paddock, but instead having the shredded mulch available to save them water in their gardens.
It doesn’t matter if the material is green or dried out as most of it goes through the hammers on the mulcher.
Medium branches upto 10cm in diameter right down to small bushy plants can be processed in our 30hp
commercial mulcher. We mulch anything that is too small to burn and that tree chippers wouldn’t bother with. Many
other organic items can be mulched in the shredding hopper of the machine such as Vines, Bark, sticks, flower
stalks, manure, cardboard, dried out weeds or veggi plants, root balls and even clumps of compost can be broken
up easily.
If you are considering buying a mulcher or chipper to try to save money, my experience has taught me that electric
mulchers are not worth buying unless you only have a few pot plants as your garden. Petrol mulchers in the $1500-
$2000 range do an acceptable job but are very labour intensive and require a large outlay.
